Meridian, a Michigan-based managed care organization, has joined forces with Mae, a digital health platform dedicated to addressing the unique needs of underserved pregnant mothers. This partnership aims to improve maternal health outcomes and reduce disparities in the state.
$1.1 Million Grant to Support Detroit-Based Organization
In May, Meridian and the Centene Foundation awarded a $1.1 million grant to the Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) in Detroit. NSO provides integrated health and human services, and the grant will support its Medical Respite program, which offers health and recuperative care to homeless individuals.
Integrating Digital Engagement and Community Support
Mae's digital platform seamlessly integrates with community-based doula support, creating a comprehensive support system for pregnant individuals. Doulas provide nonmedical assistance before, during, and after childbirth, focusing on reducing health disparities, preterm births, and unnecessary C-sections.
Expanding Access to Doula Care
