Integrating Digital Engagement and Community Support

Mae's digital platform seamlessly integrates with community-based doula support, creating a comprehensive support system for pregnant individuals. Doulas provide nonmedical assistance before, during, and after childbirth, focusing on reducing health disparities, preterm births, and unnecessary C-sections.

Expanding Access to Doula Care

Through this partnership, Meridian's Medicaid members will gain access to Mae's network of over 50 Michigan-based doulas. These doulas offer virtual and in-person support in various areas, including lactation, labor education, advocacy, and postpartum oversight.

Improving Maternal Health Outcomes
